This is a contract opportunity working across a diverse asset base including thermal, wind, hydro, and battery energy storage systems (BESS), with a strong focus on aligning technology to business strategy and future-state architecture.
This is an initial six month contract, based in Melbourne CBD in a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end solution architectures across Energy Assets technology environments
- Ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, secure, and aligned to business outcomes
- Provide oversight of designs, implementation quality, and adherence to architecture standards
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and vendors
- Assess and validate third-party solutions, estimates, and technical approaches
- Contribute to architecture forums, driving standards, patterns, and continuous improvement
- Support integration across IT and Operational Technology (OT) landscapes
About You
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments
- Demonstrated experience within Operational Technology (OT) environments
- Strong background in infrastructure architecture (cloud + on-prem)
- Deep understanding of networking, security, identity, storage, and DR
- Exposure to critical infrastructure risk frameworks (e.g. AESCSF)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments (Scrum/Kanban)
