We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a high-impact service improvement initiative within a Local Government environment.
This role will drive the design, implementation, and embedding of a 4-year Capital Works Planning Framework, shifting the organisation from an annual planning approach to a structured, multi-year model.
This is a critical role requiring strong stakeholder engagement across infrastructure, capital works, and governance functions, with a focus on aligning strategic outcomes to long-term infrastructure investment and planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of a high-impact initiative to establish a 4-Year Capital Works Program framework
- Design, test, and embed a multi-year capital planning model aligned to the integrated strategic planning framework
- Transition the organisation from annual capital planning to a structured, forward-looking approach
- Improve visibility of future commitments and strengthen prioritisation across programs
- Translate strategic objectives into a practical, organisation-wide planning framework
- Manage complex stakeholder relationships across infrastructure, delivery, and governance functions
- Deliver outcomes within a complex governance environment using an agile, staged approach
- Develop and validate a “working model” using real data, evolving it into a repeatable framework
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex capital works or infrastructure programs
- Strong background in project management within Local Government or similar environments
- Proven ability to lead strategic planning and service improvement initiatives
- Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and governance frameworks
- Track record delivering outcomes using agile or staged project methodologies
- Strong analytical capability with experience working with planning data and frameworks
