Senior Landscape Architect
Location: Doncaster, VIC
Duration: 3 Months
Hours: 22.8 hours per week (Tuesday to Thursday)
Rate:$65 per hour + Super

We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to support the planning, design, and delivery of a range of open space and playspace upgrade projects.
Working within a dynamic team, you will play a key role in shaping attractive, functional, and vibrant public spaces that enhance community wellbeing and contribute to the creation of liveable environments.
You will manage projects from concept through to delivery, while engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of open space and playspace improvement projects
  • Develop landscape designs that align with organisational objectives and community needs
  • Undertake site assessments, data collection, and project analysis to inform design outcomes
  • Prepare project plans, reports, specifications, and supporting documentation
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, consultants, and contractors where required
  • Engage and collaborate with internal departments, community groups, and external stakeholders
  • Provide professional landscape architectural advice and recommendations
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant standards, policies, and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic open space planning
About You 
  • Proven experience as a Landscape Architect, ideally within local government or a similar public sector environment
  • Experience delivering open space, parks, and playspace projects
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent data collection, research, and analytical capabilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare concise, accurate plans, reports, and project documentation
  • Experience managing and influencing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A collaborative and solutions-focused approach to project delivery
