We’re partnering with a growing organisation seeking a Senior Digital Marketing & Ecommerce Specialist to take ownership of digital marketing and ecommerce activity across multiple direct-to-consumer channels. This is a highly hands-on role suited to someone who thrives across ecommerce trading, campaign execution, customer acquisition, website optimisation, and promotional strategy.
This role is ideal for someone who not only understands digital marketing platforms and ecommerce performance, but also has the commercial acumen to think strategically about promotions, customer behaviour, product positioning, and revenue outcomes. You’ll know how to build campaigns and offers that make commercial sense, balancing customer engagement with profitability and long-term growth.
Working closely with senior leadership, product teams, and external agency partners, you’ll play a key role in improving online performance, driving ecommerce growth, and strengthening internal digital capability.
About the Role This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution and optimisation of ecommerce and digital marketing activity across the business. You’ll lead campaigns across paid media, email marketing, website merchandising, customer engagement initiatives, promotional execution, and ecommerce trading activity while using data and insights to continuously improve results.
You’ll also work closely with stakeholders to develop commercially strategic promotions and campaigns that align with customer trends, seasonal opportunities, product priorities, and margin objectives. This includes identifying opportunities to drive sales through intelligent promotional planning, bundled offers, campaign timing, and customer-focused ecommerce initiatives.
Marketplace coordination across channels such as Amazon, eBay, and Kogan will also form part of the role through oversight of external agency partners and promotional alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across paid media, email marketing, SEO, and ecommerce channels
- Drive customer acquisition initiatives to improve website traffic, engagement, and conversion
- Coordinate EDM campaigns, automated customer journeys, and promotional activity
- Monitor and optimise paid advertising performance across relevant digital channels
- Analyse campaign results and provide recommendations to improve ROI and performance
- Drive ongoing optimisation of ecommerce websites and customer experience
- Manage website merchandising, landing pages, promotions, and content updates
- Develop and execute commercially strategic promotional campaigns aligned to customer behaviour, seasonal events, and sales objectives
- Balance promotional activity with profitability, margin performance, and long-term customer value
- Identify opportunities for bundled offers, product positioning, upselling, and trading optimisation
- Support conversion optimisation initiatives to improve online sales performance
- Ensure website content, pricing, and promotional messaging remain accurate and current
- Liaise with external marketplace agencies managing Amazon, eBay, Kogan, and similar platforms
- Coordinate promotional activity, product launches, and marketplace alignment
- Monitor marketplace performance and identify opportunities or issues requiring escalation
- Track ecommerce and digital marketing performance against KPIs
- Use platforms such as Shopify, GA4, Klaviyo, Meta Ads, and Google Ads to analyse trends and performance
- Prepare reporting across website performance, campaign ROI, customer acquisition, and ecommerce growth metrics
- Support forecasting, promotional planning, and ecommerce trading activity
- Use customer and sales data to inform campaign strategy and commercial decision-making
You are commercially aware, creative, analytical, and highly organised, with strong hands-on experience across ecommerce and digital marketing. You understand that successful ecommerce is not just about running ads or sending EDMs, but about building strategic campaigns and promotions that drive profitable growth.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Proven experience in digital marketing and ecommerce, ideally within retail, consumer products, or distribution environments
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop strategic promotional and ecommerce initiatives
- Hands-on experience across paid media, ecommerce campaigns, email marketing, and website optimisation
- Experience using Shopify, Klaviyo, GA4, Meta Ads, Google Ads, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret performance data and make commercially sound recommendations
- Experience coordinating ecommerce trading activity, promotions, and campaign execution
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with strong execution capability and follow-through
- Experience working with external agencies or marketplace providers
- Exposure to Amazon, eBay, Kogan, or similar marketplace channels
- Experience managing medium-to-large ecommerce product catalogues
- Understanding of SEO and ecommerce merchandising principles
- Experience using ERP or inventory systems within ecommerce environments
