Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced SCADA / Control Systems Engineer to join a
high-performing team within the energy and infrastructure sector on a contract basis. This
opportunity will see you working across critical operational systems, including Battery Energy
Storage Systems (BESS), supporting ongoing projects and system enhancements in a dynamic
environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in the design, implementation, and support of SCADA and control systems
across operational assets. This includes working on system integration, BESS-related projects, and maintaining reliable performance across live environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and support SCADA and control systems
- Work across PLCs, telemetry, HMI, and control system infrastructure
- Support commissioning and integration of new assets, including BESS, into operations
- Deliver SCADA components across project lifecycles (design to commissioning)
- Provide technical support in a live, 24/7 operational environment
About You
- 5+ years experience in SCADA / Control Systems Engineering
- Strong experience with PLCs, HMI, telemetry, and industrial automation
- Proven background delivering projects end-to-end
- Experience in energy, utilities, or similar critical infrastructure
- Exposure to BESS, renewables, or power systems is highly regarded
- Comfortable working in operational environments with high reliability requirements
Nice to Have
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or renewables projects
- Exposure to control room or remote operations environments
- Understanding of industrial networks and OT systems
