We are seeking two experienced Road Workers / Truck Drivers to join a road maintenance team based in Hay. This is a hands-on role involving a variety of physical and operational tasks, working both independently and as part of a crew.
The successful candidates will assist with routine road maintenance activities and operate an MR truck for daily inspections, crew transportation, and towing duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine road maintenance and repair works
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively
- Drive and operate an MR truck for inspections and transport duties
- Assist with:
- Road pavement repairs
- Pothole and shove repairs
- Guardrail maintenance
- Sign installation and maintenance
- Traffic control activities
- Guide post installation
- Rubbish collection
- Emergency call-out responses
- 8.5-hour days
- 76 hours per fortnight
- 9-day fortnight roster
- White Card
- Work on Foot (WOF) accreditation
- Current MR Licence or higher
- Traffic Control (TC) ticket, or willingness to obtain
