The role: Reliability Engineer - Fixed Plant Shutdowns – Tier 1 Iron Miner

About the role
We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our client MP&E team to enhance asset performance by optimising shutdown scopes, strategies and execution while driving broader reliability improvements.

Reporting to the MP&E – Engineering Superintendent on a 5:2/4:3 FIFO roster, you will be responsible for the below:
  • Adhere to all health and safety standards, policies and procedures and report any safety hazards and risks to the appropriate channels
  • Support shutdown planning and execution by improving scope quality, Scheduling, productivity and overall delivery outcomes
  • Assist in prioritisation and optimisation of shutdown scopes using risk, asset condition and performance data
  • Key stakeholder in post-shutdown performance reviews to assess scope effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities
  • Systemising and sustaining change of reliability focused initiatives
  • Ensure critical spares are aligned with shutdown requirements, including long-lead and high-risk components
  • Engage with central teams/ OEM stakeholders acting as conduit for the sites
  • Contribute to development of whole-of-life asset plans and support implementation

  • A Bachelor of Engineering in relevant discipline or other relevant technical field experience
  • Experience working in a Fixed Plant environment preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in small teams or independently and demonstrate adaptability
  • Experience in Defect Elimination processes and Root Cause Analysis preferred
  • Experience in delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects
  • Demonstrate understanding of budget preparation, asset criticality, cost drivers, asset risk, asset
  • performance and asset life cycles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP or equivalent CMMS
