Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Field Advisor with an electrical background to join a major infrastructure project in Melbourne. This is a critical site-based role focused on ensuring quality compliance across substation and switchyard installation works. You will work closely with construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to promote a strong “right first time” quality culture.
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily quality inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards
• Coordinate and witness inspections, testing, and hold points
• Prepare and submit ITRs and quality documentation including test results, photos, and as-builts
• Maintain quality registers including ITR trackers, NCRs, defects lists, and test registers
• Identify and manage non-conformances (NCRs) and support close-out actions
• Review subcontractor documentation prior to submission
• Provide regular reporting to the Quality Lead on site progress, risks, and priorities
• Support audits and promote a strong quality culture across site teams
About You:
• Trade qualified Electrician (essential)
• Proven experience on substation and/or switchyard projects
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes (ITPs, ITRs, NCRs)
• Experience in a site-based quality or QA role
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Confident communicator able to liaise with multiple stakeholders
