Our client, a leading government agency, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Advisor to join their Procurement Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large and complex organisation, supporting the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management of a broad range of goods and services.

- Contribute to a high-performing procurement function delivering essential services across Western Australia.
- Purchase goods, materials, components, and services in line with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Review and verify shopping carts for the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Review robotic-generated purchase orders and release approved purchase orders.
- Source quotations and bids from suppliers and prepare procurement recommendations.
- Build, maintain, and manage professional supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance and prepare reports on spend and procurement activities.
- Identify and establish preferred and pre-qualified suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to achieve value-for-money outcomes.
- Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors to resolve purchasing and delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate procurement data within SAP MM and SRM e-Procurement systems.
- Proven experience providing procurement and purchasing services within a large commercial or government organisation.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP MM and e-Procurement systems.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier and contractor evaluation, sourcing, and goods procurement.
- Sound understanding of contemporary procurement principles and practices.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.
