The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join an in-house legal team supporting a national commercial leasing portfolio.
The role focuses on practical, high-volume leasing work, partnering closely with Property and Facilities to deliver clear, commercially sound legal support. You’ll also gain exposure to broader legal matters, including commercial contracts and global acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and manage commercial leases, renewals and variations
- Support a national portfolio (high volume, moderate complexity)
- Provide advice on lease terms, obligations and risk
- Work closely with Property and Facilities stakeholders
- Assist with lease-related documentation, systems and processes
- Support wider legal matters including:
- Commercial contracts
- NDAs
- Global acquisitions (training provided)
- Coordinate with external legal advisers where required
About You
- Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent)
- Current Australian practising certificate (or eligibility for restricted certificate)
- Approximately 2–4 years’ PQE (flexible depending on fit and salary alignment)
- Experience in property law, ideally with leasing exposure (tenant or landlord side)
- Strong drafting and attention to detail
- Clear communicator with the ability to work with internal stakeholders
- Practical and commercially minded approach
Role Details
- Location: 8 Mile Plains (Head office)
- Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days from home
- Occasional travel to Sydney
- Salary: $120K–$140K depending on experience
