Project Officer - Waste & Resource Recovery
Location: Doncaster
Rate:$55 per hour + Super
Contract: 3 Months

We are seeking an experienced Project Officer - Waste & Resource Recovery to join a local government organisation on a 3-month contract.
This role will support the delivery of waste and recycling programs, contract administration, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives within the Waste Management team

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of Waste Management and Resource Recovery projects and programs. 
  • Collect, analyse and report on waste collection and contract data.
  • Manage customer enquiries and resolve complex service-related issues. 
  • Assist with waste contract administration, reporting and reconciliation activities. 
  • Monitor service requests, collection schedules and operational records.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in Waste Management, Waste Education or a related discipline.
  • The ability to provide clear verbal and written guidance to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service, dispute resolution and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. 
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and maintain accurate records. 
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, CI Property & Rating, waste contract systems and website management.
  • Experience managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes within established timeframes.
