About the Role The Project Officer is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and established precedents.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with project management and coordination activities
- Monitoring and reviewing project and program deliverables against agreed plans
- Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules and supporting documentation
- Using project and task management tools to track progress and manage activities
- Conducting research and analysis to inform project outcomes and recommendations
- Preparing regular project reporting, including status updates and exception reports
- Drafting briefs, reports, presentations and other project documentation
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Assisting with project risk, issue and benefits management
- Supporting project quality management processes to ensure deliverables meet business requirements
- Assisting with monitoring, evaluation and retrospective review activities
- Engaging and collaborating with internal stakeholders to support project delivery
- Working effectively within a team environment to achieve program and project objectives
- Experience supporting project delivery within a structured project environment
- Ability to apply project management methodologies to plan, monitor and deliver work
- Experience developing and maintaining project artefacts and documentation
- Strong proficiency using project and task management tools
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
- Well-developed written communication skills, including the preparation of reports, briefs and presentations
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to contribute to evidence-based decision-making
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision while contributing positively to a team
