Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team and lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital works, engineering, and refurbishment projects. This is an exciting opportunity to manage projects from concept through to completion while working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be a delivery-focused professional with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project execution capabilities. You will be responsible for balancing project priorities while ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage capital works, engineering, infrastructure, and refurbishment projects from initiation through to completion and operational handover.
- Lead front-end engineering development activities and oversee project delivery across the full project lifecycle.
- Prepare business cases, scopes of work, technical specifications, tender documentation, and investment approval submissions.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and project reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and service providers to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Oversee procurement and contract administration activities, including contractor performance management, commissioning, and project close-out.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements while promoting best-practice project management principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience delivering capital works, engineering, infrastructure, or construction projects.
- Strong project management expertise with experience applying recognised project management methodologies and controls across the full project lifecycle.
- Sound commercial and technical knowledge, including project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, procurement, contract administration, and change management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence outcomes, negotiate effectively, and manage complex challenges.
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
