An experienced Project Manager (Civil) is required to lead the delivery of major transport infrastructure projects within a high-performing pre-construction team. Based in Nerang, you will manage projects from completed business case and scoping phases through preliminary and detailed design, procurement, tendering and construction documentation.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior transport infrastructure professional with strong technical, commercial and stakeholder management skills to contribute to the delivery of critical road infrastructure projects across South East Queensland.


About the Role:

Reporting to the Team Leader (Pre-Construction), you will manage the delivery of key road infrastructure projects while providing specialist engineering and project management expertise to ensure successful delivery against time, cost, quality and stakeholder expectations.
You will lead project planning, procurement and contract administration activities while working closely with consultants, contractors, government stakeholders and project teams.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of transport infrastructure projects through the pre-construction phase.
  • Act as the Principal's Representative for project and contract delivery activities.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, forecasts and expenditure.
  • Lead tendering, procurement and contract award processes.
  • Provide high-level engineering and technical advice across project planning and design activities.
  • Maintain oversight of quality, environmental and compliance requirements.
  • Manage project risks, stakeholder expectations and project governance requirements.
  • Coordinate project resources and support high-performing project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, legislation and departmental procedures.
  • Prepare project reporting and executive-level updates as required.

About You:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited under the Washington Accord or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Current RPEQ registration.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience delivering transport infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex road infrastructure projects through planning, design and procurement phases.
  • Strong contract administration, commercial and financial management skills.
  • Experience managing consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Current Class C Driver Licence.
  • White Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).

Contract Details:
  • Contract from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027
  • 2 x 12-month extension options available
