The role will work an 8/6 FIFO Perth roster
This project is currently anticipated to go for two years, with the work likely extending to a further two years post that.
Project Scope - The wharf has significant corrosion on piles and dolphins, the project is +$100M project aimed at rectifying these structural defects. Most of the work will be completed in a marine shutdown environment, however portions of the work while the wharf is live and operating.
What we are looking for:
- An engineer (preferably structural) or trades person (boilermaker or welder) who has 5 - 10 years experience in projects, preferably in a Project Engineering or technical role
- Someone who has marine experience and understands how to execute work in a live wharf environment
- Someone who is self-motivated
What you will be doing:
- Liasing with contractors to define scope as defects are uncovered during high pressure shutdown environments.
- Performing measurement to quantify defects and linking that back to the payment schedule
- Responding to contractor technical clarifications
- Performing QA/QC activities on plating and painting tasks
- Working with contractors to control risk by reviewing metocean data and understanding the risk of snapback associated with various weather conditions
