Production Operator (Casual – 10 Months) Somersby, NSW (Central Coast – between Sydney & Newcastle)

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Production Operator to join a small, close-knit team based in Somersby on the NSW Central Coast. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible, hands-on work in a supportive production environment.

About the Role As a Production Operator, you will be working across a range of warehouse and production activities in a medium-sized site (3 sheds), supporting day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Labelling bottles and products
  • Packing boxes and preparing orders
  • General warehouse and production duties
  • Setting up pumps and staging materials for daily production
  • Assisting laboratory technicians with basic tasks
  • Supporting the production process of agricultural products (non-hazardous materials)
  • Preparing and packing finished goods for distribution
You will be part of a small production team of approximately 5 people and report directly to the Production Manager.

Work Schedule
  • Monday to Thursday only (Fridays off)
  • Shift options:
    • 6:00am start, or
    • 4:00pm start
  • Includes morning tea break and 30-minute lunch

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous operations, production or warehouse experience
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work in a small team
  • Willingness to perform manual handling tasks (up to 20kg lifting)
  • Good attention to detail and reliability
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Forklift licence
PPE Requirements
  • Full PPE will be provided by BASF after onboarding
  • Initially, candidates must supply their own:
    • Steel cap boots
    • High-visibility clothing
    • Long sleeve shirts/arm protection
Additional Information
  • Work involves non-hazardous materials
  • Products are used in agriculture, including biological solutions for farming
  • Exposure to both warehouse and light lab environments
