About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Production Operator to join our manufacturing team at the Somersby site. This hands-on role is responsible for supporting production and repacking operations, operating manufacturing equipment, and ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and in accordance with production schedules, Quality Management System (QMS), and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards.



Key Responsibilities
  • Operate production and fermentation equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare and process work-in-progress (WIP) products and replenish bulk storage.
  • Set up and dismantle production equipment.
  • Perform general production and warehouse duties, including loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
  • Follow Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
  • Report quality, production, and safety issues promptly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and workplace safety initiatives.


Skills & Experience
Essential
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow procedures.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
  • Current Forklift Licence.
  • Experience operating manufacturing or processing equipment.
