Procurement Officer
Location:  Lilydale (Local Government)
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Rate:$62 per hour + super

This role will focus on delivering day-to-day procurement activities, supporting stakeholders and ensuring processes are compliant and efficient.
Working within a collaborative team, you will provide end-to-end support across RFQ and RFT processes, contract administration, and stakeholder advisory, while maintaining strong probity and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day procurement activities across RFQ and RFT processes
  • Develop tender documentation, specifications, and advertisements
  • Coordinate tender processes including briefings, addenda, evaluations, and contract award
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement and contractual matters
  • Facilitate tender evaluation panels and ensure compliance with governance frameworks
  • Monitor procurement timelines and ensure milestones are met
  • Prepare contract documentation and manage execution and record keeping
  • Contribute to procurement policy improvements and process enhancements
  • Support the use of procurement systems (e.g., contract management systems, DocuSign, TechOne, ECM)
  • Ensure adherence to the Local Government Act 2020 and internal procurement policies
About You
  • Proven experience in procurement (essential)
  • Experience in local government procurement (highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, including RFQ and RFT
  • Knowledge of probity, confidentiality, and compliance standards
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with procurement or finance systems is advantageous
Additional Requirements
  • Relevant qualification or significant equivalent experience
  • Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence
