Procurement Specialist (3PL Sourcing & Commercial Contracts)
Location: Sydney CBD
Work Type: Contract (3 months with potential 3-month extension and potential permanency)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Onsite Requirement: Full-time onsite

An opportunity exists for an experienced Procurement Specialist to lead strategic sourcing and commercial activities across third-party logistics (3PL) warehousing and fulfilment services for a leading organisation operating in the supply chain and logistics sector.

This role is ideal for a procurement professional who thrives in end-to-end sourcing projects, commercial negotiations, supplier engagement, and complex stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Tender Management
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including RFI, RFP and RFQ processes.
  • Manage supplier evaluation, scoring, due diligence and recommendation activities.
  • Build sourcing project plans and manage delivery against key milestones.
  • Conduct commercial modelling, landed cost analysis and scenario comparisons.
  • Develop business cases and sourcing recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Commercial Negotiation & Contracting
  • Lead negotiations with 3PL providers across pricing, service agreements and KPI frameworks.
  • Develop negotiation strategies aligned to procurement objectives.
  • Partner with Legal teams to finalise contract execution.
  • Identify supplier risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage supplier engagement activities including briefings, Q&A processes, site visits and negotiations.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance and Legal teams throughout sourcing projects.
  • Support onboarding and mobilisation of awarded suppliers.
  • Assist with supplier governance and performance review activities.
Governance & Documentation
  • Maintain RFx documentation, evaluation records and award recommendations.
  • Ensure sourcing activities meet procurement governance requirements.
  • Contribute market intelligence and supplier insights to support category strategies.

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Procurement and strategic sourcing experience.
  • Experience managing competitive tender processes.
  • Strong commercial analysis and negotiation capability.
  • Experience negotiating supplier contracts and service agreements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions.
  • Experience working with logistics, warehousing, supply chain or 3PL categories.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
