Pre-Press Quality Officer Location: Acacia Ridge, QLD
Pay Rate:$43 per hour
Shift: Day Shift

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑focused Pre-Press Quality Officer to join a busy print environment based in Acacia Ridge. This role requires a strong mix of administration, accuracy, and hands‑on work, including heavy and awkward lifting, along with an understanding of print and print processes.

This is a critical position supporting production, quality, and safety across the printing operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and quality as the number one priority at all times
  • Complete all inspection and administrative tasks for each job produced
  • Inspect plates issued for mounting, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Receipt all plates into the department with 100% accuracy
  • Report defects to the appropriate Team Leader or Manager and follow escalation procedures for replacement plates in a timely manner
  • Maintain QA monitoring programs, including GMP data collection and internal audits
  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) by identifying and suggesting process improvements
  • Request consumables for mounting equipment and report maintenance or repair needs
  • Support the printing department to ensure production demands are met
About You
  • High attention to detail and strong administrative skills
  • Ability to perform heavy and awkward manual handling tasks
  • Understanding of print and print processes (highly regarded)
  • Quality‑focused with a strong safety mindset
  • Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a production environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow procedures accurately
