The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity for a Pre-Contracts Specialist to join a high-performing infrastructure program delivering a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of renewal and growth projects across Sydney.
This role will see you partnering closely with delivery teams to lead procurement and commercial activities, ensuring value-for-money outcomes across multiple capital projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead procurement and pre-contracts activities across projects up to $100M
  • Partner with project, engineering, legal, and finance stakeholders
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, including ECI approaches
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including target cost and risk allocation
  • Engage with delivery partners and suppliers to drive strong outcomes
  • Develop forward procurement plans across a major program of works
  • Establish contracts via tendering and direct negotiation processes
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and value-for-money outcomes
  • Support continuous improvement and transformation initiatives
About You
You are a commercially astute procurement professional with experience in infrastructure or construction environments. You thrive in complex stakeholder settings and bring strong negotiation capability and commercial insight.

Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Business, Construction, Law, Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure, construction, or consulting
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (NEC4 and/or GC21 preferred)
  • Experience in procurement, commercial strategy, and contract negotiation
  • Strong analytical skills with understanding of project cost structures
  • Ability to partner with the business while maintaining independence
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Familiarity with systems such as SAP Ariba or InEight (desirable)
  • Professional certifications (MCIPS, QS, PM) highly regarded
