Planner / Scheduler – Maintenance Planning 

We are seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler to support maintenance planning activities within a Rio Tinto operation. Working closely with maintenance and operations teams, you will play a key role in coordinating planned work, developing schedules, and ensuring efficient and safe execution across site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planner or Scheduler, ideally with a trade background, looking to contribute within a structured maintenance environment while supporting reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining maintenance plans and schedules to support site operations
  • Coordinating work packs, resources, and materials for planned maintenance activities
  • Liaising with maintenance and operations teams to align schedules and priorities
  • Monitoring progress of planned work and adjusting schedules as required
  • Ensuring all planning activities align with site processes and standards


About You
  • Previous experience in a Planner / Scheduler role within maintenance environments
  • Trade qualification highly regarded
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement capability
  • Ability to work within structured systems and planning processes


Highly Regarded
  • Experience working on Rio Tinto sites
  • SAP experience 
  • Background in mining, heavy industry, or fixed plant environments
