About the Role
You will play a key role in the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll, ensuring payroll and master file data is maintained correctly and in line with relevant legislation, agreements and policies. The role sits within a collaborative People & Culture function and works closely with Payroll Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the end-to-end processing of weekly payroll
- Prepare and input payroll and master file entries
- Verify and reconcile payroll, including preparation of payroll vouchers
- Review calculations for adjustments and termination payments
- Allocate costing to timesheets accurately and on time
- Respond to internal and external payroll enquiries
- Complete statutory and statistical returns within required timeframes
- Ensure compliance with enterprise agreements, policies and legislation
- Support correspondence with external parties as required
Essential:
- Experience in payroll operations or a relevant qualification (HR, Finance, Business Administration)
- Strong experience using computer-based systems, including spreadsheets
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Knowledge of payroll legislation and regulatory requirements
- Experience using payroll systems
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work varied hours when required
