About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Participant Support Officer to join a dynamic team supporting participants and stakeholders. This role is a key frontline position, acting as the first point of contact and delivering high-quality customer service and practical support.
You will play an essential role in assisting participants to access appropriate services and supports, resolving enquiries, and ensuring a positive service experience.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face, phone, email and SMS support to participants and stakeholders
  • Manage and resolve participant enquiries in line with relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Deliver reception support, including assisting with self-service systems and online tools
  • Triage enquiries and refer participants to relevant services where required
  • Manage shared inboxes, appointments and phone enquiries
  • Coordinate accessible appointments within office facilities
  • Perform accurate data entry and ensure timely follow-up actions
  • Record and manage complaints and feedback within internal systems
  • Provide administrative and operational support to service delivery teams
 
Essential Criteria
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage empathetically with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality customer service
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and administrative responsibilities
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions
  • Proven ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with others
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Knowledge of disability services and the challenges faced by people with disabilities
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances and participant needs
  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Commitment to inclusion and a contemporary approach to supporting people with disabilities
