The Opportunity
We're partnering with a leading Victorian Government organisation undertaking a significant enterprise-wide ERP transformation and are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Finance SME to join the program team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the implementation of Oracle Fusion ERP, providing finance domain expertise to support solution design, configuration, testing, data migration and business readiness activities.
Working alongside business stakeholders, implementation partners and project delivery teams, you'll help ensure the new platform delivers efficient, compliant and future-focused finance processes.
About the Role
As the Oracle Fusion Finance SME, you will act as the bridge between Finance and the project team, ensuring business requirements are accurately captured and translated into practical Oracle Fusion solutions.
You will provide subject matter expertise across key finance processes and support all stages of the implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design validation through to testing, deployment and post-go-live support.
This role is ideal for an experienced Finance SME, Functional Consultant or Business Analyst with hands-on Oracle Fusion ERP implementation experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise across core Finance processes and Oracle Fusion ERP functionality.
- Support requirements gathering activities and contribute to the definition of future-state business processes.
- Validate functional designs and ensure system configurations align with operational and business requirements.
- Collaborate with implementation partners and project stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Participate in data readiness and migration activities, including data cleansing, validation, mapping and reconciliation.
- Develop and execute test scenarios for system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
- Support business readiness activities, including process documentation, training materials and end-user support.
- Validate reporting outputs and support financial control and reconciliation processes.
- Identify, assess and escalate functional risks, issues and gaps.
- Champion process improvement, system adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience working on Oracle Fusion ERP implementations in a Finance-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion Finance modules, including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Fixed Assets
- Projects
- EPM Planning
- Financial Reporting
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into system solutions.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, including:
- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Project Accounting
- Financial Planning and Reporting
- Experience supporting testing activities, including SIT and UAT.
- Proven capability supporting data migration activities, including data validation, reconciliation and quality assurance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
- A collaborative and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
