Operations Management Project Manager(Short-Term Contract)
Location: Reservoir
Rate:$65–$70 per hour + super

We are seeking an experienced Operations Management Project Manager to support the delivery of key waste service initiatives within a local government environment.
This is a short-term contract through to 17th July, offering a hands-on opportunity to lead impactful projects focused on policy implementation, process improvement and stakeholder engagement.

About the Role  - In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of waste-related projects, including implementation of kerbside waste reforms, updated waste management guidelines, waste audits and associated training, alongside supporting process and communication improvements.
Working closely with internal teams and subject matter experts, you will drive project outcomes that are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project delivery from scoping through to implementation and handover
  • Coordinate stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes and strong engagement
  • Prepare and present project reports, updates and recommendations to senior leaders
  • Support change management activities including communications, training and stakeholder buy-in
  • Analyse data sets to identify trends, insights and improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate meetings, including preparing agendas and documenting outcomes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation
About You
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects through to adoption, ideally within an operational or local government setting
  • Strong ability to translate policy into practical, operational outcomes
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within tight timeframes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including working with large data sets
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in project management
  • Proven project delivery experience
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to obtain (or hold):
    • Police Check
    • Working with Children Check
