Sydney CBD | 18 Month Contract | Hybrid (3 Days Office / 2 Days WFH)
An exciting opportunity has become available with a leading global technology organisation for a New Hire Experience Specialist to support the delivery of an exceptional onboarding experience across Australia and New Zealand.
This role sits within the People function and plays a critical role in ensuring every new employee receives a welcoming, engaging and informative start to their career journey. You will lead virtual onboarding sessions, coordinate onboarding activities, manage stakeholder relationships and act as a key point of contact for new hires throughout their first week.
This position would suit someone from onboarding, learning & development, employee experience, internal recruitment, training coordination, facilitation or events backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate virtual onboarding and orientation programs for new employees across ANZ
- Deliver engaging sessions covering company culture, values, products, tools and performance frameworks
- Act as the primary contact for onboarding-related questions and support
- Coordinate onboarding schedules and learning activities throughout the first week
- Manage onboarding communications and cohort engagement channels
- Monitor and respond to new hire queries through collaboration platforms such as Slack
- Partner with HR, procurement, security, IT and other internal stakeholders to resolve onboarding issues
- Maintain onboarding materials and ensure local business updates are incorporated into content
- Track onboarding metrics and provide reporting where required
- Coordinate smaller employee events and onboarding activities throughout the year
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the onboarding experience
About You
- 2-4 years' experience in onboarding, learning & development, facilitation, employee experience, recruitment coordination or corporate events
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Experience delivering virtual training, onboarding or learning sessions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively
- Comfortable coordinating multiple activities simultaneously
- Experience supporting HR, People & Culture or employee engagement initiatives is highly regarded
- Event coordination experience will be viewed favourably
