Administration Assistant (Mining Operations - DIDO)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and organised Administration Assistant to support our teams mining operations team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.

Working within a fast-paced mining environment, you will provide administrative support to site and management teams, assist with presentations and reporting, coordinate meetings and travel arrangements, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the resources sector while developing a broad range of administrative and operational support skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and format PowerPoint presentations, reports, and business documents.
  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings for management and site personnel.
  • Coordinate meeting invitations and meeting room bookings.
  • Raise and track purchase orders and assist with invoice processing.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, inductions, and documentation.
  • Book travel and accommodation for DIDO personnel as required.
  • Maintain accurate electronic filing systems and records.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action logs.
  • Order stationery, PPE, kitchen supplies, and other site consumables.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support document control and compliance administration activities.
  • Monitor office supplies and maintain shared office and kitchen areas.
  • Provide general administrative support to site and corporate teams.
Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Professional, positive, and customer-focused approach.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
Desirable

  • Previous administration, reception, or office support experience.
  • Exposure to mining, construction, engineering, or industrial environments.
  • Experience with purchase orders and invoice processing.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Understanding of site-based or FIFO/DIDO operations.
