About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintainer to join a Tier 1 mining company on an 8/6 FIFO roster (Wednesday to Wednesday). This role is ideal for a skilled maintainer with strong diagnostic and field service experience across pumps and mechanical equipment. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving asset reliability through planned and breakdown maintenance, defect identification, and continuous improvement initiatives within a structured maintenance management environment.

- Carrying out maintenance and repairs on mechanical assets and equipment
- Performing diagnostics and fault finding on trailer pumps and water pumps
- Completing field service maintenance activities and breakdown support
- Identifying equipment defects and raising notifications/work orders within the asset management system
- Supporting defect elimination and reliability improvement initiatives
- Ensuring maintenance tasks are completed safely and in line with work instructions
- Conducting post-maintenance testing, commissioning, and clean-up activities
- Contributing to maintenance analysis and asset performance reviews
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience within mining, heavy industry, or field services
- Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working on pumps and associated mechanical equipment
- Sound understanding of maintenance management systems and work order processes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
- CAT and Cummins experience
- Current C Class Manual Driver’s Licence
- Australian Recognised Trade Qualification - Diesel Mechanic
- Forklift Ticket
- HR Class Driver’s Licence
- Dogging and Rigging Ticket
