Chandler Macleod is partnering with a respected regional local government organisation to appoint an experienced leader to oversee Development Services, Regulatory Compliance and Property Management functions.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving service delivery, legislative compliance and continuous improvement across a diverse operational portfolio. Reporting to the Director, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and play a critical role in shaping strategic outcomes across planning, compliance and property management functions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop teams across planning, compliance and land/property management functions.
  • Provide expert advice on planning, building, plumbing, local laws and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Oversee enforcement activities and statutory obligations under relevant legislation.
  • Manage Council-owned land, buildings and reserve assets.
  • Drive operational improvement, strategic planning and policy development.
  • Prepare reports and present recommendations to senior leadership and Council.
  • Build strong relationships with government, industry and community stakeholders.

About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Planning, Regulatory Compliance, Public Administration or substantial equivalent experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in a planning, regulatory, compliance or local government environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, improve service delivery and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Queensland Class C Driver Licence.
