Pay Rate: $39-41 + penalties
About the role
We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and previous experience in machine or equipment operation. As a Machine Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of packaging materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating the slitting & conversion machines and other related equipment
- Monitoring machine performance and conducting quality checks on packaging materials
- Setting up machinery for different production runs according to job specifications
- Ensuring efficient production output while minimising material waste
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues
- Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised work environment
- Previous experience operating production or packaging machinery (slitting experience highly regarded)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- A commitment to safety and following procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
