Laboratory Technician |  Join a Global Industry Leader

Our client is a global leader in commercial explosives and blasting solutions, providing innovative products and services across the surface and underground mining, civil tunnelling, quarrying, construction, and oil and gas sectors. Renowned for their commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence, our client is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join their team.

About the Role

As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in supporting production and environmental compliance through the collection, preparation, testing, and analysis of chemical samples. You will also contribute to method development, continuous improvement initiatives, and non-routine analytical reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, prepare, test, and analyse chemical samples
  • Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analysis
  • Support method development and validation activities
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory
  • Provide analytical support to production and environmental compliance programs
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards

Working Hours Following an initial training period, the successful candidate will work:
  • Four weekdays per week, 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Every third week: Participation in an on-call roster providing 24/7 coverage as required
  • Saturday and Sunday: 6:00am – 10:00am during on-call weeks
Additional overtime and on-call allowances apply.


About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
  • A Degree in Science (Chemistry), Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a chemical laboratory
  • Demonstrated experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong computer and data management skills
  • The ability to successfully pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol, and background screening requirements
