Renowned for their commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence, our client is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join their team.
About the Role
As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in supporting production and environmental compliance through the collection, preparation, testing, and analysis of chemical samples. You will also contribute to method development, continuous improvement initiatives, and non-routine analytical reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, prepare, test, and analyse chemical samples
- Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analysis
- Support method development and validation activities
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory
- Provide analytical support to production and environmental compliance programs
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards
Working Hours Following an initial training period, the successful candidate will work:
- Four weekdays per week, 6:00am – 2:30pm
- Every third week: Participation in an on-call roster providing 24/7 coverage as required
- Saturday and Sunday: 6:00am – 10:00am during on-call weeks
About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
- A Degree in Science (Chemistry), Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a chemical laboratory
- Demonstrated experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong computer and data management skills
- The ability to successfully pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol, and background screening requirements
