Our client, a well-regarded organisation in the Newcastle region, is seeking a skilled HR Business Partner to join their People & Culture team on a full-time contract basis. Working closely with leaders across the business, you'll provide trusted HR advice, drive people initiatives, and support the delivery of strategic and operational workforce outcomes. This position offers hybrid working arrangements, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.

The Opportunity As the HR Business Partner, you will act as a key advisor to leaders and stakeholders, providing expert guidance across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will help foster a positive workplace culture while supporting business objectives through effective people strategies and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to provide strategic and operational HR support.
- Deliver expert advice across employee relations, industrial relations and performance management matters.
- Coach and support managers on people-related issues and decision-making.
- Lead and support HR initiatives, projects and organisational programs.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities.
- Contribute to diversity, inclusion and employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with remuneration reviews, performance processes and employee rewards programs.
- Review and update HR policies, procedures and documentation.
- Ensure HR practices remain compliant with employment legislation, industrial instruments and organisational requirements.
- Analyse and utilise HR data and reporting to inform decision-making.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working in a HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary HR practices and employment legislation.
- Experience managing employee relations and workplace investigations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
- The ability to work autonomously while building collaborative relationships across the business.
- High levels of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within complex or unionised environments.
- HR-related certifications or professional memberships.
- Exposure to HRIS and recruitment management systems.
