We are seeking an experienced GIS Officer to join a high-profile spatial data project. This role will focus on GIS modelling, spatial data management, data validation and supporting field-based data collection activities.
Working within a collaborative project team, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining GIS datasets, preparing mapping products and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of large volumes of spatial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain GIS building and spatial data models.
- Prepare datasets and mapping information for field teams.
- Manage, edit and validate spatial and survey-related data.
- Perform quality assurance and data integrity checks.
- Support database preparation and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver project outcomes within agreed timeframes.
- Tertiary qualifications in GIS, Spatial Science, Geomatics or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience using ArcGIS and managing large spatial datasets.
- Strong data entry, validation and quality control experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
