About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Geotechnical Engineer to join a Geotechnical Data Acquisition team within a Tier 1 mining operation.
Reporting to the Superintendent Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and delivering high-quality geotechnical data to support modelling and operational decisions.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders across Resource Development and Operations in a dynamic site-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide geotechnical core logging support
  • Analyse, validate and interpret geotechnical datasets from field programs
  • Ensure accurate diamond core logging and televiewer data collection in line with company standards
  • Assist with planning and execution of drilling programs
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on drilling priorities
  • Maintain strong safety and data quality standards
Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical, Civil, Mining Engineering or Geology (preferred)
  • Proven experience with geotechnical logging methodologies (essential)
  • Experience in the resources sector (mining preferred)
  • Iron ore or Pilbara geology exposure advantageous but not essential
  • Candidates from oil & gas or civil backgrounds encouraged to apply
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
