3 Month Assignment
$65-75 per hour + super (flexible depending on experience)
We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team on a 3-month contract. This role is critical in supporting year-end financial reporting and audit deliverables, making it ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and auditors to support a smooth year-end process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights on key variances
- Coordinate and compile audit evidence for external auditors
- Assist with statutory reporting and regulatory submissions
- Manage and maintain integrity of the general ledger and reconciliations
- Investigate discrepancies and support month-end and year-end close processes
- Provide technical accounting support and ensure alignment with relevant standards
- Identify and implement process improvements and controls
- 5+ years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting and tax principles
- Proven experience in statutory reporting and year-end processes
- Experience managing general ledger and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience ( Oracle highly regarded)
- CPA or CA qualified (or working towards)
- Competitive hourly rate: $66–$75 + super(depending on experience)
