Brisbane Airport Precinct | Full-Time | $120,000 - $130,000 + Super
We are partnering with a well-established national organisation seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of its finance function and lead a small finance team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of finance operations, from month-end and compliance through to payroll, AP/AR oversight and process improvement. The successful candidate will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves, supporting the team when required and operating with a high degree of autonomy.
The RoleReporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial records, strong compliance practices and efficient finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support the finance team
- Manage the month-end close process
- Prepare annual financial statements and support external audits
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Review and authorise supplier payments
- Oversee payroll processes, payroll tax and related compliance requirements
- Prepare and review BAS, FBT and taxation obligations
- Review customer invoicing and billing processes
- Monitor cash flow and banking activities
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
- Develop and improve finance policies, procedures and processes
- Support operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- CA or CPA qualified
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or senior accounting position
- Strong technical accounting and compliance knowledge
- Experience managing month-end, audit and statutory obligations
- Hands-on experience across payroll, AP and AR functions
- Strong understanding of BAS, FBT, payroll tax and Australian accounting standards
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of the finance function
- Passion for process improvement, technology and continuous improvement
- $120,000 - $130,000 + Super
