Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Werribee, VIC
Duration: Up to 6 months
Rate:$43 per hour + Super

About the Role:
Reporting to the relevant facilities management team, you will play a key role in coordinating maintenance activities, contractor management, and asset inspections to ensure council facilities remain safe, compliant, functional, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate site condition audits across designated property portfolios
  • Coordinate maintenance works across council facilities
  • Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure quality service delivery within agreed timeframes
  • Undertake minor repairs and adjustments where appropriate and safe to do so
  • Respond to maintenance requests and ensure works are accurately logged and tracked through council systems
  • Manage administration of work tasks and financial invoicing requirements
  • Liaise with building operators, tenants, contractors, and stakeholders to minimise disruption during maintenance activities
  • Monitor contractor performance and service quality to achieve value-for-money outcomes
  • Investigate building-related issues and prepare reports and recommendations
  • Support compliance with building regulations, Essential Safety Measures (ESM), asset management standards, and statutory requirements
  • Assist with maintenance planning and contribute to annual budget preparation
About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Previous supervisory experience within facilities, building maintenance, or property services environments
  • Strong understanding of Essential Safety Measures (ESM) compliance requirements
  • Experience coordinating contractors across multiple concurrent maintenance activities
  • Experience conducting building and asset audits, including maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Substantial experience using Building Maintenance Systems, Financial Systems, Asset Management Systems, and Maintenance Management Systems
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across a diverse property portfolio

  1. Essential Safety Measures (ESM): Your understanding of ESM requirements and how you have ensured compliance in previous roles.
  2. Contractor Coordination: Experience managing contractors across multiple maintenance works and projects.
  3. Building & Asset Audits: Experience conducting audits and the methodologies used for record management and documentation.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Strategies you have used to influence, negotiate, and achieve successful outcomes with various stakeholders.
