Chandler Macleod is currently seeking a qualified Electrician
to support site infrastructure, maintenance, and control systems for a short-term contract, with potential for extension.
This role will play a key part in maintaining and supporting critical site systems, including CCTV, access control, and general electrical infrastructure. You will work within a collaborative team environment, contributing to safe, reliable, and compliant site operations.
This position is ideally suited to an Electrician with experience in industrial environments, and exposure to PLC systems, communications, or security infrastructure(highly regarded), who is confident working across both electrical and low-voltage systems.
About the Role
Reporting to the site team, the Electrician will provide hands-on support across maintenance, fault finding, and minor works. You will be responsible for supporting the ongoing operation of CCTV and site access systems, assisting with PLC-related tasks where required, and delivering general electrical maintenance across site, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site standards.
Role Overview
You will join an established engineering team supporting asset management and maintenance functions across a fixed plant environment. The role focuses on improving asset reliability, performance, and compliance through structured systems, data analysis, and collaboration with maintenance and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support implementation and ongoing improvement of asset management systems
Provide technical support to maintenance and operational teams
Collect, analyse, and interpret asset performance and condition data
Assist in identifying asset reliability risks and improvement opportunities
Contribute to defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, site procedures, and governance requirements
Key Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
2–3+ years’ post-graduate experience
Experience working with low voltage systems
Exposure to fixed plant or industrial maintenance environments preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
Ability to work collaboratively within structured engineering frameworks
