Chandler Macleod is seeking a qualified Electrician to join the team supporting the maintenance and reliability of critical site infrastructure for Rio Tinto.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a safety-focused team working a Monday to Friday roster - 9-day fortnight supporting the ongoing operation of essential electrical and security systems.

About the Role
Reporting to the site team, you will provide hands-on support across preventative maintenance, fault finding and electrical works to ensure the ongoing reliability of critical site infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining CCTV systems, site access control infrastructure, general electrical maintenance and assisting with PLC fault finding and maintenance where required. You will work safely and collaboratively to ensure all work is completed in accordance with site standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance.
- Maintain and repair CCTV camera systems and associated infrastructure.
- Carry out maintenance on site access control systems.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults across site assets.
- Assist with PLC fault finding and maintenance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance.
- Current Queensland Electrical Licence.
- Current Queensland High Risk Work Licence – Boom Lift.
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence (or equivalent).
- Ability to successfully complete a Rio Tinto Yellow Medical.
- Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
- PLC experience.
- CCTV maintenance experience.
- Data cabling experience.
- Previous experience within mining, heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
