About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical construction, commissioning and energisation activities across a large‑scale iron ore development. This is a frontline leadership role overseeing HV/LV systems, transmission line works, substations, and critical mining infrastructure including renewable energy projects.
You’ll drive safe execution, quality delivery and on‑time completion across multiple work fronts in a remote FIFO environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site execution of electrical construction, commissioning and energisation activities
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, equipment and daily work fronts
- Review drawings, ITPs, ITRs and commissioning documentation
- Oversee testing of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs and control systems
- Validate test results, troubleshoot faults and ensure compliance with Australian Standards
- Conduct pre‑starts, toolbox talks, safety interactions and field inspections
- Maintain redlines, as‑builts, quality records and turnover documentation
- Report progress, risks, delays and productivity metrics to project leadership
- Mentor and support trades, technicians and contractors on site
What You Bring
- Electrical Trade Certificate or Electrical Engineering qualification
- WA Electrical Licence
- Experience supervising electrical construction or commissioning in mining, heavy industry or transmission line projects
- Strong understanding of HV distribution, substations, earthing systems and transmission infrastructure
- Ability to interpret drawings, SLDs, ITPs and technical documentation
- Proven leadership in FIFO or remote project environments
- Strong safety mindset and ability to enforce compliance
Highly Regarded
- HV Switching Ticket
- Experience with 220kV transmission line construction (monopoles, stringing, earthing)
- Exposure to large‑scale iron ore or major infrastructure projects
