About the role:
We are seeking a suitably qualified  Electrical Engineer  to join the Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical team within the Asset Delivery Group. This role will contribute to the planning, design, investigation and delivery of water infrastructure projects across Western Australia. The successful candidate will provide electrical engineering expertise, and assist in the delivery of key asset improvements.
 
What the role will involve:
  • Outline key responsibilities
  • Undertake electrical asset data review, arc flash safety assessments and recommendations. 
  • Prepare engineering and technical reports. 
  • Provide electrical engineering advice and technical support to stakeholders. 
  • Liaise with internal teams, consultants, contractors and customers. 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, policies and safety requirements.
Essential Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering. 
  • Demonstrated professional engineering experience in infrastructure planning, design and/or delivery.
  • Experience investigating and assessing electrical engineering assets. 
  • Sound knowledge of engineering principles, standards and practices.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Proficient in engineering software applications and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Well-developed analytical, conceptual, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience within water, utilities, infrastructure or related industries.
  • Knowledge of Australian electrical regulations and industry requirements.
  • Understanding of infrastructure project management principles and processes.
  • Exposure to engineering standards development and compliance activities.
