About the role
State Government client seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join a construction crew based in Hay. This is a temporary assignment, with a 9-day fortnight roster and consistent full-time hours.
 
Working within a construction and maintenance crew, you will operate a variety of plant and equipment while supporting civil construction and earthworks activities across the region. This role will suit a hands-on operator who is comfortable working outdoors and assisting with labouring duties when required.

Accommodation can be discussed for selected candidate (no allowances included). 
 
Duties
  • Operate a variety of plant and equipment including rollers, loaders and other construction machinery
  • Assist with civil construction and earthworks activities
  • Undertake routine maintenance and pre-start inspections of plant and equipment
  • Perform manual handling and labouring tasks as required
  • Work safely and follow all site procedures and safety requirements
 
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience operating construction plant and equipment (Rollers, loaders etc)
  • Sound understanding of civil construction and earthworks activities
  • White Card, Drivers Licence & ability to pass a National Police Check essential
  • Current Work on Foot (WOF) or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
  • Traffic Control ticket or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
  • Ability to perform physical labouring duties when required with nil ongoing injuries
  • Truck licence highly regarded
