We are currently seeking an experienced Earthmoving Plant Operator to join our state government client’s road maintenance team based in Hay. This is a great opportunity for an experienced operator with a background in civil construction, road maintenance or similar environments to work as part of a skilled team delivering essential road infrastructure and maintenance works across the region.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating a range of plant and machinery, while also assisting the broader team with road construction and maintenance activities. You will play an important role in ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The position offers a 9-day fortnight, providing a great work-life balance, with 8.5 hours per day and 76 hours per fortnight.
Duties
- Operate a range of plant including rollers, loaders, watercarts and other construction equipment.
- Undertake civil construction and earthworks activities in accordance with project requirements.
- Complete manual handling and general labouring duties as required.
- Work safely and collaboratively as part of a construction crew.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience operating rollers, loaders, watercarts or similar plant.
- Strong understanding of civil construction and earthworks.
- HR Driver Licence.
- White Card.
- Traffic Controller (TC) ticket and Workers on Foot (WoF), or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to pass a National Police Check.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Benefits
- $48.94 per hour + superannuation.
- 8.5 hours per day, 76 hours per fortnight/ 9 day fortnight.
