About the Team

You will be part of a collaborative analytics and reporting function that supports enterprise-wide understanding of workload, performance, and operational demand.
The team:

  • Develops integrated reporting products across multiple business areas
  • Uses data, consultation, and analysis to identify emerging risks and trends
  • Supports workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational decision-making
  • Works closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and meaningful
  • Contributes to improving how data is used to support service delivery and organisational performance

About the Role

An opportunity exists for a skilled Data and Reporting Analyst to join a high-performing team responsible for delivering workforce insights, performance reporting, and data-driven analysis that supports organisational decision-making.
In this role, you will work under limited direction to transform complex data into meaningful insights that help improve operations, resource planning, and service delivery outcomes. You will play a key role in ensuring reporting is accurate, consistent, and accessible to a wide range of stakeholders.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, and turning analysis into practical recommendations that support operational and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extract, clean, manipulate, and analyse data from multiple systems
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualisations
  • Identify trends, risks, and insights to support decision-making
  • Ensure data quality through validation and quality assurance checks
  • Translate business requirements into reporting solutions
  • Present findings in a clear and meaningful way for different audiences
  • Maintain documentation for reporting processes and data definitions
  • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and improve outputs
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives across reporting and analytics
  • Support coordination of reporting activities, including tracking tasks and deliverables

You Must Have
  • Strong experience in data analysis and reporting in a complex environment
  • High-level proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation)
  • Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI or similar)
  • Ability to interpret data and translate it into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for varied audiences
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to translate business needs into reporting solutions
  • Experience working in a structured or policy-driven environment

Benefits:
  • ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
  • Assignment end date: 31st December 2026 with potential extension
  • Location:  Newcastle NSW, Campbelltown NSW, Geelong VIC.
  • $55.24 hourly + Super
