Role Overview
The Customer Service Representative serves as a key liaison, operating in a role similar to an Account Manager and working closely with large corporate customers to manage significant material orders. This position plays a critical role in overseeing the end-to-end order processing cycle, from order placement through to invoicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and ensuring a smooth Order-to-Cash process.
- Processing high volumes of orders and invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely completion to prevent backlogs.
- Engaging regularly with customers via phone to obtain orders, maximise sales opportunities, and deliver exceptional service.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Supply Chain and Distribution, Credit and Collections, and Customer Service teams to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage complex customer interactions.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines effectively.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems is highly regarded but not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
This role is integral to ensuring our client continues to deliver outstanding customer service and operational excellence. It goes beyond responding to enquiries, requiring proactive relationship management, strong coordination skills, and a customer-focused approach to supporting business success.
