Customer Service Representative

Contract: 
6 months with potential to extend
Hours: Full time 9am to 5pm
Location:  Kurri Kurri onsite
Payrate: $40/hour + super
Start: ASAP

  • Open to anyone with admin, account coordination or SAP experience and has interacted with customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities is a must
  • Ability to manage varying work tasks while maintaining high accuracy.

Role Overview:

The Customer Service Officer at Orica serves as a key liaison, resembling an account manager role, primarily engaging with large corporate customers to manage significant material orders. This role is crucial in overseeing the entire order processing system—from placing orders to issuing invoices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of big company clients and ensuring a smooth Order to Cash Process.
  • Handling high-volume order entries and invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely processing to prevent backlogs.
  • Engaging extensively via phone with clients to obtain orders, maximise sales, and ensure service excellence.
  • Collaborating with various internal teams such as Supply Chain and Distribution, Credit and Collections, and Customer Service Leadership to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Skills and Attributes:

  • High-level administrative competencies and adeptness in managing complex customer interactions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, capable of negotiating effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP or similar systems is advantageous, though not mandatory.
