About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading food manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Customer Service Telesales & Reception Officer to join their team based in Laverton North.
This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting sales activities, and working in a fast-paced operational environment. You will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, enquiries are managed efficiently, and customers receive exceptional service.
This position is 100% onsite and offers 30–35 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase hours and progress into a permanent role for the right person.
About the Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing customer communications, processing orders, supporting telesales activities, and providing administration and reception support.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Contacting allocated customers each morning to confirm order requirements and accurately process orders before production deadlines
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email with a professional and helpful approach
- Managing customer requests, complaints, and queries through to resolution
- Maintaining accurate customer records, including pricing, standing orders, credits, and rebates
- Supporting sales activities by promoting products and identifying opportunities with customers
- Processing customer orders and updating internal systems
- Preparing sales reports, customer information, and administrative documentation
- Supporting the wider sales team with day-to-day administration
- Performing reception duties, including greeting visitors and managing correspondence
- Assisting with customer satisfaction surveys and feedback processes
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with company quality, food safety, and workplace health and safety standards
About You
You will be a proactive and reliable professional with strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience in customer service, telesales, reception, administration, or a similar role
- Excellent phone manner and confident communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing information
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Confidence handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
- Good computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office systems
- A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
