We are seeking an experienced Project Cost Controller to support the delivery of major capital projects across mining and refining operations in Western Australia.

Working within a high-performing Major Projects team, you will provide specialist cost control, forecasting, reporting and project controls support across large-scale capital projects. Partnering with Project Managers, Planners, Procurement, Construction and Finance teams, you will ensure accurate project cost management, robust governance and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain project Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) aligned to project schedules and WBS.
- Monitor actual costs, commitments, accruals and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, trend analysis and variance reporting.
- Track cost impacts arising from project changes and identify cost risks and opportunities.
- Review contractor claims and validate project costs.
- Support funding approvals, budget allocation and project close-out activities.
- Contribute to tendering, project assurance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or similar.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in project cost control within mining, refining, resources or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience supporting capital projects valued at $150M+.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, cost forecasting and governance frameworks.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and project cost management systems experience.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting skills.
