Pay Rate:$41 per hour + Superannuation

Our Client is seeking an experienced Contact Centre Officer to join their customer-focused team supporting employers within the superannuation industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled customer service professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional member experiences.

About the Role As a Contact Centre Officer, you will manage inbound and outbound customer interactions across multiple channels including phone, email, and online chat. You will provide information and support, respond to enquiries and complaints, and work towards achieving first-contact resolution wherever possible.

This role requires a strong customer focus, empathy, and the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of customers, including potentially vulnerable members.

  • Full-time rotating roster with 8-hour shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm
Training & Work Arrangement
  • Full-time office-based training for a minimum of 4 weeks
  • Following successful completion of training, a hybrid working arrangement is available with a minimum of 2 days per week onsite in Newcastle

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, and chat
  • Respond to general enquiries, complaints, and follow-up requests
  • Deliver professional, accurate and timely customer service
  • Work towards first-contact resolution outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Build positive relationships with members and external stakeholders
  • Support employers within the superannuation sector

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Previous contact centre experience (essential)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • An understanding of the superannuation and financial services industry
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • A positive, friendly and people-focused approach
  • RG146 qualification, or willingness to undertake study
