Construction Supervisor
Tocumwal, NSW | 24-Month Project | Full-Time Opportunity | Monday-Friday 

Our Client is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join a major construction project based in Tocumwal, NSW(approximately 75km north of Shepparton). This is an exciting opportunity for a safety-focused construction professional to play a key role in delivering a significant industrial project while overseeing site activities, contractor performance, and project outcomes.

The role is expected to commence in October 2026, with an initial onboarding period involving remote work from home and online learning for approximately four weeks before transitioning to site-based project delivery.

About the Role
  • As the Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading daily construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, environmental, and project delivery standards are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Working closely with the Project Manager, engineering teams, contractors, and key stakeholders, you will provide hands-on supervision and coordination across all site activities while driving a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage Contractor Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
  • Coordinate and facilitate daily toolbox talks and site meetings.
  • Review and approve contractor JSEAs and SWMS documentation.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority where activities present unacceptable risk.
  • Lead and drive Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) performance on site.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and procedures.
  • Coordinate communication between project teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage site materials including receipt, storage, handling, preservation, and inventory control.
  • Support project variation identification, assessment, and documentation.
  • Coordinate testing and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Identify and resolve non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Assist with construction work packs, handover documentation, and as-built records.
  • Monitor construction progress against project schedules and milestones.
  • Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of works.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on safety, quality, schedule, risks, and project performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive construction supervision experience within industrial or infrastructure environments and a demonstrated commitment to safety leadership.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Current Australian Driver Licence.
  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant construction supervision experience.
  • Security Clearance (Explosives) SSAN.
  • Permit to Work systems experience.
  • Contractor management experience.
  • SWMS review and approval.
  • Hazard identification and risk assessments.
  • Incident investigation processes.
  • Toolbox talks and pre-start meetings.
  • Quality Assurance and ITP management.
  • WHS contractor management systems.
  • Environmental compliance requirements.
  • Emergency response participation.
  • Ability to provide referees from previous projects.
  • Fitness for Work declaration.
  • National Police Check and site security clearances (if required).

Highly Regarded
  • Experience in industrial facilities, mining, explosives, chemical processing, or hazardous process plants.
  • Experience managing multiple contractors simultaneously.
  • Previous regional or remote project delivery experience.
